Treatment days - Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Peter graduated from the 3000-hour massage therapy program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2007. Working with MS and Parkinson’s patients as well as conditions such as hydrocephalus and spinal cord injuries have been some of his most rewarding experiences. Although he has training in STR (Soft Tissue Release), L.A.S.T. (Ligament Articular Strain Technique), Muscle Energy Technique and has a special interest in understanding pain, nociception and nerves - Peter enjoys treating all patients and all injuries. He is just as passionate about treating the elite athlete dealing with an acute injury such as hamstring or calf pain as he is about treating the elderly person managing neck pain or arthritis. His treatment style is patient dependent. With an emphasis on communication and Functional Movement Screening the patient helps establish the style and type of treatment most suited to their goals. Peter enjoys all sports and all types of music (especially classical and jazz). His hobbies include art, reading and studying the ongoing discoveries being made in anatomy and physiology. (He has a special fascination with Heart Rate Variability and understanding the bio-mechanics of running) He has a competitive background in rowing and sculling and still keeps his single shell in the Vancouver Rowing Club - although he wishes he was able to get out on the water more often.
