Dr. Lucas MacMillan was trained first as a Registered Nurse and continued on to become a naturopathic physician - he is now the clinic director of the Delbrook Integrative Medical Centre in North Vancouver.
He especially enjoys working with sports optimization, hormone balancing (including menopause), injuries and pain concerns, and men’s health. His long-standing interest in the human body and health has directed him to his passions of health and health-care, where he is now proud to offer a wide range of lab tests, therapies, and more to be sure his patients are getting what they need. He is a lifelong learner, and proudly continues his training in functional medicine, various naturopathic treatments such as chelation, menopause and hormonal therapies, and longevity medicine, and intravenous therapeutics.
Dr. Lucas enjoys discussing health and treatment options with his patients, and genuinely looks forward to teaching others about health, medicine, and methods to improve one’s health and wellbeing outside of the doctor’s office. He believes that understanding is a key component of improving one’s health, and he strives to educate each patient in a positive and meaningful way.
Dr. Lucas has written various articles covering topics including chronic pain approaches, the professional training of naturopathic doctors, research on medicinal uses of curcumin, indications and uses of prolotherapy and platelet rich plasma (PRP), and others. He has written articles for Sportswave broadcasting, Sherbrook Record, and Snowshoe Magazine. He was featured numerous times on the Shaw TV show “Run with It,” during the “Doctor’s Corner” segment wherein he discussed common pain syndromes and related treatments, injury prevention, intravenous (IV) nutrient applications, and regenerative injection therapies. He has been interviewed on a range of podcasts including “21st century pain solutions with Dr. Wayne Phimister, MD, and “Run with It” with Christine Blanchette. He hosted a one hour internationally broadcast webinar with the American Association of Naturopathic Medical Colleges (AANMC) entitled “Pursuing your Passion: the journey, challenges and charms of being and becoming an ND.” He is a listed contributor to Marano Publishing’s “NPLEX Review” (a major licensing and board exam resource for naturopathic medicine students) and “Evidence Informed Joint Mobilization” by Professional Health Systems.
